Get ready for IFA v6!
GLOBALG.A.P.’s IFA program is moving to version 6 – as of January 1, 2024, IFA v6 Smart will become obligatory, and IFA v6 GFS will follow once GFSI recognition is achieved (estimated in Q3/4 of 2024). In the meantime, IFA v5.4-1-GFS will remain the recommended version for those seeking GFSI-recognized certification.
What’s changing in v6?
The move from IFA v5.2 to v6 includes a wide range of changes to the standard, from introducing a three-year audit cycle and removing the livestock scope to alterations in the variety of scopes still covered in the standard. IFA 5.4-1-GFS
IFA 5.4-1-GFS introduced a number of changes on the previous version of the standard, including an alteration to AF 6.2.1 in the Auditor Checklist and a change in the application of unannounced inspections for both Option 1 Single Sites and Multisites without QMS and Option 1/2 Multisites with QMS.
