New certification service strengthens support for fresh fruit and vegetable producers across Canada and the United States

TROY, Mich. – Perry Johnson Registrars Food Safety, Inc. (PJRFSI), a global leader in food safety certification and compliance, today announced it has been licensed as a Certification Body for the CanadaGAP® Program, expanding its portfolio of services for fresh fruit and vegetable producers in Canada and the United States.
The CanadaGAP Program licenses third-party Certification Bodies to provide audit and certification services to fresh produce operations enrolled in the program. Participants must meet the food safety standards set out by CanadaGAP and successfully complete on-site audits with their chosen Certification Body to obtain and maintain certification.

PJRFSI brings a demonstrated history of value-added food safety certification to the CanadaGAP Program, with a track record of rigor and consistency throughout the audit process. The company also has prior experience with CanadaGAP, having offered audit and certification services from 2020 to 2023.
